Job Aides
I created these samples of job aides and info-graphics for clients.
Well-designed graphics enhance relevant information, better engaging the learner through visual appeal.
Sometimes, what's needed isn't a one-time training intervention, but a tool which can be accessed and used easily and at the point of need. This may be a one-page document like a checklist or a memory jogger, or it may be a more complex performance support tool, to include direction lists, online module, and much more.
Simply put, job aids are clear instructions on how to accomplish or complete a task. Essentially, they can be anything designed to reduce avoidable errors and which are used frequently or at the point of need.
When COVID hit...
When COVID came upon us in 2020, all of us had to adapt and adjust to varying degrees. Business who couldn't adapt quickly went under quickly. Workers had to learn new programs and software so they could work from home and still be productive.
This is an example of a job aid sent out to employees to help them set up MS Teams accounts on their cell phones. Providing a well-designed combination of screenshots, image frames, and step-by-step instructions, we were able to asynchronously guide employees through the process as many times as they needed but with a single effort on our part.
